Engineers'
Round Table
On
this page we tried to get the engineers talking back & forth
with each other. The content holds alot of good advice for the
fresh & the veteran recording musician. Listen while they
"chat it up".
Randy
Burk--Stout Recording:
Music is all about relationships. The people you
know will become stepping stones in your career. It takes a long
time to build a career in music. It also helps to stay in one
region. I moved Stout Recording Studio across
the bay from San Francisco to Oakland and it took several years
to regain momentum. It takes vision, confidence and work ethic
to make it
in music. So make some business cards, build a web site and get
out there! For the music professional, reputation comes first.
Focus on your strengths. Be on time, be prepared and keep it hot!
You must generate demand for yourself.
John
Jones--"Thumper"
Custom Drums: I
agree, Randy." Word of mouth" is big in this
business. If you leave a bad taste in someone's mouth, it won't
take long for everyone to know about it. You need to stay focused
& willing to" keep it going".
